1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Hypotree ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Hypotree is an AI-powered case interview preparation platform. The Service provides practice cases, AI-generated feedback, peer matching, and readiness scoring to help users prepare for consulting and business interviews.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Pro is billed through Stripe, either monthly ($29 a month, renews until cancelled) or as a one-time 3-month pass ($69, does not renew), plus tax where applicable. You can also buy optional one-time AI refills ($5 each, plus tax where applicable); refills never expire and can be used while your Pro plan or pass is active, including for up to 30 days while a payment is being retried. You may cancel monthly Pro at any time through the customer portal - cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your access continues until then. A 3-month pass gives Pro for 90 days from purchase (a pass bought while another is active starts when it ends) and is never charged again. You can request a refund on the day of purchase. After that, refunds are at our discretion, except where the law gives you a right to one.
5. AI-Generated Content
Case feedback, scores, and coaching insights are generated by AI models. While we strive for accuracy, AI output should be used as a preparation aid, not as professional career advice. Scores do not guarantee interview outcomes.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not: share your account with others, attempt to reverse-engineer the AI scoring system, scrape or automate access to the Service, or use the platform to distribute harmful or illegal content.
7. Intellectual Property
Case prompts, evaluation criteria, and platform content are owned by Hypotree. Your written responses remain your property. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store and process them to provide the Service to you. We do not use them to train AI models.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. Hypotree is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to interview outcomes.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Updates are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
